We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with strong production Rust experience to build high-performance systems powering real-time crypto trading.
You will work closely with the CTO and senior backend engineers on risk engines, liquidation systems, blockchain state machines, real-time market data, and low-latency APIs.
What You'll Work On
Build and maintain risk and liquidation engines for capital-efficient trading.
Design and implement blockchain state machines for trading, settlement, and risk operations.
Build services that maintain consistent state across asynchronous processes using coordination, voting, and consensus mechanisms.
Process real-time market data and coordinate time-sensitive actions across trading venues.
Develop high-performance REST and WebSocket APIs with millisecond-level response times.
Work on systems designed for high throughput, reliability, and low latency.
Collaborate closely with a small, senior engineering team in a fast-paced, in-person environment.
Must-Have Skills
2-4 years of backend software engineering experience
Strong production experience with Rust
Hands-on experience with Rust asynchronous programming, particularly Tokio
Experience building real-time, high-throughput backend systems
Experience working with multiple database types, including:
Relational databases
Time-series databases
Key-value stores
Strong understanding of backend/system design and performance optimization
Genuine and demonstrable interest in trading or financial markets
Strongly Preferred
