Role Overview

  • Senior individual contributor role within the core Capital Markets division responsible for high-impact, low-latency trading infrastructure.
  • Focuses on architectural ownership, performance optimization, exchange connectivity, and system resilience for mission-critical trading components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
  • Own key components of the trading stack end-to-end (from architecture through production operations).
  • Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to enhance trading performance and resilience.
  • Maintain trading infrastructure with emphasis on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues involving exchange connectivity, execution systems, and market data feeds.
  • Set technical direction, enforce engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
  • Implement agentic engineering principles: utilize AI-assisted workflows, automate operational workflows, and expand agentic tooling.
  • Execute functional, component, and production-readiness testing for critical trading components.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems (proficiency with Tokio is an advantage).
  • Hands-on experience in systematic trading environments (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading) with practical knowledge of execution, market data, and operational risk.
  • Strong AWS and Linux engineering expertise, including latency-sensitive cloud configurations, shell scripting, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Python (or related scripting languages) for strategy development, tooling, and workflow automation.
  • Deep familiarity with trading protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket), exchange connectivity, and real-time market data handling.
  • Understanding of low-latency networking concepts: TCP/UDP, latency path analysis, dedicated network infrastructure, and kernel bypass techniques (e.g., DPDK).
  • Familiarity with agentic engineering tools and concepts: LLMs, MCP APIs, AI-first IDEs (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code), test harness engineering, and workflow automation.
