Role Overview
- Contributes to high-performance distributed data processing projects using Rust.
- Focuses on building, refactoring, and deploying scalable software and optimization algorithms in cloud and containerized environments.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects leveraging Rust for high-performance distributed data processing.
- Create new features and improve the robustness, performance, and resilience of existing Rust codebases.
- Design and implement optimization algorithms and code to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with internal project owners and customers to design and build services.
- Build and manage scalable cloud software solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) container environment.
- Work with technologies across machine learning, optimization, and AI domains.
Requirements
Core Qualifications:
- Experienced software developer with proven commercial experience developing in Rust.
- Strong proficiency in low-latency data handling and data transformation.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scaling, and resilience.
- Experience building and managing containerized solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with engineering practices and tools: TDD, BDD, microservices, event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Terraform
- Kustomize
- Argo CD (or alternatives)
- Python
- Golang
Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
- Gross Annual Base Salary: €67,000 – €80,000 EUR
