- Defense technology company building military systems powered by Lattice OS (an AI-powered operating system turning data streams into real-time 3D command and control).
- Developing autonomous defense capabilities across computer vision, sensor fusion, robotics, and networking.
Team & Role Scope
- Team: Air Dominance & Strike Team.
- Focus: Developing aerial and multi-domain robotic platforms (such as Fury unmanned fighter jets and Barracuda cruise missiles) and the Lattice for Mission Autonomy software platform enabling multi-robot collaboration.
- Domain: Autonomy software stack spanning computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production Rust software for air vehicle autonomy and multi-agent coordination.
- Collaborate with specialist engineering teams (Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering).
- Handle significant data processing and analysis within complex software systems and established codebases.
- Participate in field testing, integration, and real-world deployment of autonomous capabilities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Experience building software solutions involving substantial data processing and analysis.
- Ability to quickly navigate and understand complex codebases and architectures.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time for build, test, and deployment activities.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning for modeling & simulation (M&S) and physical systems.
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments.
- Feature and algorithm development experience with behavior trees.
- Experience developing software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical applications.
- Familiarity with distributed communication networks and messaging standards.
- Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
- Salary Range: $166,000 – $220,000 USD per year (base salary only).
- Equity: Highly competitive equity grants included in the majority of full-time offers as part of total compensation.
