About the Role As a Senior Rust Engineer, you’ll develop secure validator and relayer agents for an interchain messaging protocol. This system enables developers to send arbitrary data between blockchains, supporting token transfers, cross-chain function calls, and multi-chain applications. You’ll play a key role in strengthening protocol reliability, simplifying participation for third parties, and designing tokenomics for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize validator and relayer agents in Rust
  • Simplify and document processes for third-party protocol participation
  • Design and implement tokenomic incentives for validators and participants
  • Contribute to building seamless, permissionless blockchain interoperability

TECH STACK:

  • Rust
  • Ethereum / EVM-compatible platforms
  • Blockchain interoperability protocols
  • Smart contracts

Requirements:

  • 4+ years building and maintaining high-availability systems
  • 2+ years of professional Rust development experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ethereum or EVM-compatible smart contracts
  • Strong initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently in ambiguity
  • Knowledgeable in cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystems
  • Bonus: Experience with non-EVM smart contract platforms

** COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:**

  • $100–$200k USD annual salary
  • Hybrid NYC work model

WHY JOIN:

  • Help pioneer permissionless interoperability across blockchain ecosystems
  • Build mission-critical infrastructure with global adoption potential
  • Contribute to a modular approach that shifts interoperability responsibility from users to applications
